No, Joe! You Don’t Realize That God Is Going to Trump Your Trump!

“Gay rights trumps culture!” – uttered by Vice President Joe Biden in the waning days of June 2014. The VP continued to expand on this by declaring that the Obama administration plans to press for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender) rights all over the world!

Just recently Vice President Joe Biden made one of the most brazen as well as one of the most idiotic statements of his entire career. It is no secret that the Obama administration now supports same-sex marriage and has sought legislation that is favorable to same-sex couples at all levels of our society. Joe summarized it very well in his public declaration, “Gay rights trumps culture!”

By that statement VP Joe is saying that anything within any culture that is opposed to the same-sex lifestyle is wrong. Further, he went on to say that the present administration will be pressing for LGBT rights throughout the entire world in the future.

There is a very significant Person Whom VP Joe has not intelligently considered in this very critical issue. His name is Almighty God Who brought a mind boggling universe (with boundaries still totally unknown to us finite human beings) into existence by simply speaking a few commands! This same God is also One with very high moral standards and He has clearly established boundaries when it comes to human sexuality as it is expressed and experienced.

As God has spelled it out, the only acceptable activity involving sexual intimacy is that taking place between one male and one female within the sacred covenant of marriage! This is revealed early on in the book of Genesis and reaffirmed by the Son of God, Jesus Christ, during His ministry on earth two thousand years ago.

There is no such thing as a “right” when it comes to violating God’s moral laws – only an intentional choice to do so. The term “gay rights” is a fatal deception due to God labeling same-sex intimacy as an abomination, not merely sinful transgression!

Other sexual offenses, in addition to same-sex intimacy, as explicitly revealed in God’s special revelation via holy Scripture are:

1. Fornication – sexual intimacy between two unmarried persons.

2. Adultery – sexual intimacy between two persons, with at least one being married to another person other than the one with whom he/she is being intimate in that moment.

3. Incest – sexual intimacy between immediate family members, such as fathers & daughters, mothers & sons, brothers & sisters, etc.

4. Bestiality – sexual activity with animals.

5. Rape – forcing a person to be sexually intimate against his or her will.

There is one type of sexual offense that is not mentioned specifically in Scripture but is certainly covered in those areas of offense already mentioned. Sexual abuse (and intimacy) with children is not mentioned nor described as are the others, but really that is not necessary since it is certainly covered under the subject area of rape. Even many unregenerate persons, while they may engage in such things as fornication or adultery, are greatly outraged when children become victims of sexual predators!

It is a fact that God has given many sacred gifts to the members of the human race. Of these, one of the least appreciated, most abused and horribly misused has been the gift of human sexuality.

The burned debris and ashes that comprise the ruins of a once prosperous city by the name of Sodom are a mute reminder that just when you think your sexual trump card has won the game in life, then Almighty God trumps your card and the game is now concluded, ending in a catastrophe that our feeble minds cannot begin to comprehend!

If Joe and his boss get their way in this campaign, then they should further announce that fornication, adultery, incest, bestiality, and rape are also quite acceptable – who can object? An appeal to the Scripture? No, it won’t fly – the same Scripture that condemns these aforementioned sexual activities also with equal clarity condemns same-sex activity!

However, as Joe continues in his LGBT rights campaign, there is one thing I actually would pay admission to see – I would like to see Joe lead a public demonstration for LGBT “rights” in one of the major cities of countries such as Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia – you know, with large signs and slogans, which denounce the Islamic position on same-sex relationships and intimacy! Did he not say they were going to push this thing all over the world? Go get ‘em, Joe!

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. [Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV)].

And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord smote the people with a very great plague. [Numbers 11:32-33 (KJV)].

You Will Always Know a Tree by Its Fruit!

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” --- Jesus speaking in Matthew 7:15-20

The media have attempted to provide a full fledged “gully washer” ever since the death of Ted Kennedy a few days back. The accolades have been unceasing coming from liberals and professed conservatives – almost a sporting type of competition to see who can outdo whom in declaring what great things Ted Kennedy has done as a member of the U. S. Senate.

But a tree is known by its fruit and Jesus Christ, foremost Authority on human behavior, responsibility and destiny, stated that people are as trees – the fruit that comes forth out of their lives speaks of what they really are by way of character.

Note two kinds of “fruit” which the Ted Kennedy tree has produced over the years.

First, Ted Kennedy was opposed and voted against the Defense of Marriage Act. He was an ardent supporter of G.L.B.T. “rights” in every sense of the word. On the occasion of Massachusetts, his home state, becoming the first state to legalize same-sex marriage he said,” "The nation’s eyes were on Massachusetts today, and they saw a triumph for civil rights and fundamental fairness. Today’s historic vote will have a national impact on civil rights for years to come. Massachusetts has led the nation in education, in health care and in biotechnology, and today Massachusetts renewed its commitment as a proud leader in civil rights."

Second, Ted Kennedy was strongly supportive of abortion rights and opposed even the legislation that restricted partial-birth abortions just as our president has done in the past on such issues. When that legislation was before the Congress, Kennedy said, ““I do not believe it is the role of the Senate to interfere with or regulate the kind of medical advice that a doctor can give to a patient.” The bill was signed into law by President G. W. Bush and was later challenged in federal courts. On April 18, 2007, however, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the partial-birth abortion ban was in fact constitutional – not because of Ted Kennedy, but in spite of him!

What more needs to be said? Kennedy, as so many are inclined to do, spoke of “rights” where there are no rights due to our Creator having established the standards and ordinances at the beginning of human history. What has often been termed a "right" to do a certain thing is in reality a deadly choice if it goes against the spiritual and moral principles which God has established for His creation!

God’s standard for marriage is a special covenant relationship between a man and a woman. Very likely Mr. Kennedy now realizes that a bit late.

God has a plan and specific pupose for every conceived human life – there is no such thing as a “right” to interfere in His plan for those lives, unless a culture wants to commit moral and spiritual suicide, which is what ours has been doing for over 36 1/2 years!

By now Mr. Kennedy sees human life differently. Think not? After death we will all see things God’s way – this life is simply an opportunity to accept God’s clear revelation as it applies to our responsibility, conduct and ultimate accountability to Him in eternity or reject it and stand condemned because we thought we could write our own rules in life, while ignoring His!

Yes, Jesus, as always, was right on target when He said that we will know a tree by the kind of fruit it bears!

And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. --- Jesus speaking in Luke 16:15

B.O., Obscure Scriptures and Jesus!

"I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans." --- Senator Barack Obama at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio on Sunday, March 3, 2008

B.O. is literally taking the "bull by the horns" when it comes to the same-gender coupling issue. He is supportive of those who have an agenda which includes the goal of civil unions and ultimately legal marriage between same-sex couples. The bottom line is that he will seek (if elected as president) to repeal the DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) and press for full equal rights and privileges of same-sex couples such as heterosexual married couples now have, including the raising of children.

Here is a part of his "open letter" on LGBT issues:

"As your President, I will use the bully pulpit to urge states to treat same-sex couples with full equality in their family and adoption laws. I personally believe that civil unions represent the best way to secure that equal treatment. But I also believe that the federal government should not stand in the way of states that want to decide on their own how best to pursue equality for gay and lesbian couples — whether that means a domestic partnership, a civil union, or a civil marriage. Unlike Senator Clinton, I support the complete repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) – a position I have held since before arriving in the U.S. Senate. While some say we should repeal only part of the law, I believe we should get rid of that statute altogether. Federal law should not discriminate in any way against gay and lesbian couples, which is precisely what DOMA does. I have also called for us to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and I have worked to improve the Uniting American Families Act so we can afford same-sex couples the same rights and obligations as married couples in our immigration system."

Ooops! I forgot to tell you to sit down before reading B.O.'s intentions on matters pertaining to those practicing same-sex intimacy -- sodomy and lesbianism!

In an attempt to Biblically defend his position, he refers to the Sermon on the Mount as to preference as opposed to what he refers to as an "obscure" reference in the book of Romans.

As a typical politician and others rejecting the truth would do, he refuses to face the plain fact of what is revealed in Romans 1 -- a bunch of people chose to turn their backs on God and walk in defiance of His revealed truth -- consequently it is noted 3 times that God "gave them up/over" to pursue their destructive ways of life with the end result being, "...who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." (Romans 1:32).

B.O. made reference to the Sermon on the Mount which was declared by Jesus. Let's take a look at a few of those statements:

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden....Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled....Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" --- Matthew 5:11-14, 17, 18; 7:13-23

There is the claim by those supporting the sodomite/lesbian agenda that Jesus never said anything about homosexuality and never condemned it in any manner. True He did not use any term that refers to same-sex activity, but He covered it very well in one statement which B.O. and his supporters would never admit -- it's that statement, "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." All possible sexual activity was covered under the moral law. Everything was condemned except sexual intimacy between a husband and wife within their covenant of marriage!

Hey! Don't get upset with me about it -- you'll have to take the issue up with God -- after all, He's the One Who laid out the ground rules on the subject of human sexuality!

B.O. indicated that he prays to Jesus every night. In light of referring to some of God's Word as being "obscure" and by implication, you just ignore it, the question can be legitimately asked, just who is this Jesus that B.O. talks to? There is more than one Jesus, didn't you know?

Now do you see why it can be asked just what kind of "Jesus" it is to whom B.O. talks?

And in light of 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 can it really be said that any section of God's Word is "obscure" -- maybe at times a bit hard to grasp, but never "obscure" -- especially in those areas that are more plain than the proverbial "nose on one's face!"

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink, who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous man! --- Isaiah 5:20-23
