Mr. Obama's Righteous Indignation and Fraternizing with Prostitutes!!

Internet headlines speak of a Secret Service scandal which involved personnel drinking excessively (not H2O by the way) and partying with prostitues in Columbia before Mr. Obama arrived on his trip to that country. A later headline indicated that he was "angry" and an investigation would take place. It was further alleged that some military people were also involved in this incident! --- various internet sources

Mr. Obama has displayed what some would interpret as "righteous indignation" upon learning that some Secret Service personnel along with a few military people had a rather wild party at a 5 star hotel in Columbia before the arrival of the president in that nation! One headline used the word "angry" to describe the reaction of Mr. Obama and an indication of an impending "investigation."

The alleged party involved excessive drinking and the satisfying of that "gratification now without delay" lusting through able assistance given by prostitutes who likely made a good profit that would be on a comparable level of those who make excessive profits by their speculation and manipulation activity in the petroleum business!

Will we who underwite government expenses through our taxes be paying for this escapade as we did recently in the scandalous Las Vegas spree involving government people at a very high level?

Anyway, why should anyone -- whether it be Mr. Obama, the media watch dogs, or those in the U.S. Congress make any kind of issue of this incident, professed "righteous indignation" notwithstanding?

It is Mr. & Mrs. Obama, plus many members of the U. S. Congress, and a number of members of the U. S. Supreme Court that aggressively support the intentional mutilation and murder of thousands of unborn children each week in a nation that hypocritically claims to be the "land of the free, and the home of the brave!" Any effort made to save at least a few unborn from the horrendous fate that over 54 million have already suffered is stonewalled immediately by the aforementioned bunch of persons. It is interesting that this same crowd becomes extremely upset and hostile when confronted with graphic images that provide unmistakable evidence that this is an abomination of the first magnitude from the point of view of our Creator! But then, who pays much attention to the God Who put this mighty universe together by spoken command?

Second, it is the Obama connection with majority support in the U. S. Congress that opened the way for sodomites and lesbians to serve openly in the United States military. And of course throughout the nation there was been subtantial support from the citizens. The media along with the movie and TV industries have been very supportive and have provided the propaganda that this has been a good thing for the country. Again, the One Who gives "life, breath, and all things" (see book of Acts in New Testament) to all humans takes an entirely different point of view on this issue. But the leadership (both political and religious) has so influenced and corrupted the spirit of our republic that what God expects by way of obedience and moral responsibility is given a "thumbs down" response much the same as a blood-thirsty crowd would do in the ancient Roman Coliseum when they felt a defeated gladiator on the ground deserved to die rather than live!

Mr. Obama is certainly in no position to express his professed "righteous indigantion" over the drinking/prostitute party in Columbia by some persons who are a part of the U. S. government. He has far more serious moral issues on his home turf to tend to first as just noted. But we all know on basis of past experience how he will address those issues, do we not? That is, UNTIL Almighty God says plainly, "Enough is enough -- the shedding of innocent blood and blantant immorality will stop now!"

As mentioned on previous occasions, none of us will want to be living within the borders of the republic when God responds with the pouring out of His undiluted wrath. We hear of the disasters brought on by numerous tornadoes involving loss of human life and property distruction at this time of year especially. But that is a mole hill compared to a gigantic mountain when it comes to what God will do because we as a nation saw no need to take Him seriously nor were willing to fully repent and seek to be obedient to Him in all aspects of our behavior and relationships!

Killing the Goose That Lays the Golden Eggs 2011 Style!

A man and his wife had the good fortune to possess a goose which laid a golden egg every day. Lucky though they were, they soon began to think they were not getting rich fast enough, and, imagining the bird must be made of gold inside, they decided to kill it. Then, they thought, they could obtain the whole store of precious metal at once; however, upon cutting the goose open, they found its innards to be like that of any other goose. --- This story is attributed to the 6th century B.C. Greek, Aesop.

If ever a fable has come true in human experience, the goose that laid the golden eggs has done so in 2011 in the republic of the United States.

Almighty God in His sovereign grace raised up our republic over 234 years ago. The nation was blessed with growth and prosperity. But there were times of painful conflicts within as well against foreign enemies. By God's grace the nation survived and was victorious over external enemies through the years. The last decisive military victory for the United States was at the end of WW II. The sole condition for the enemies was unconditional surrender. It's never been the same since 1945 in spite of being involved in conflicts even at the present time. Unfortunately as politicians have meddled more and more in military affairs we now have "rules of engagement" and we have to make sure we greatly reduce "collateral damage." The day will probably come when our military people won't be allowed to load their weapons until bullets are whizzing over their heads and/or penetrating their bodies!

Alas, I digressed a bit -- now to continue -- other things were happening as the republic grew more prosperous and powerful. Conflicts broke out at times in the work place. There were grave injustices taking place and certain industries had a strangle hold on workers. The coal industry at one point became notorious for its "company stores" and payment to miners in script instead of real money -- in effect this economic strategy held the miners and their families hostage to the company for which they worked -- a unique brand of enslavement.

The organized union movement changed the landscape and leveled the playing field over decades of time. This was very good for a while as certain abuses by companies were addressed and corrected, BUT the pendulum has moved to the very opposite position of that in which companies and their owners had all the power and full control.

We have now come to the point of outrageous union abuse which is impacting the entire nation in a most horrendous way. Powerful unions with very short-sighted leadership not only believe they can dictate and receive unreasonable wages, benefits, and retirement wealth, but they also reserve the right to determine who should hold elective office -- somehow these people feel they are superior (maybe infected with the Obama spirit) and know what is best in each election. What they really want are not public servants in office but puppets who will move according the will of the unions as they pull and manipulate the strings! It's good to have your own personal slave in the U.S. Congress, is it not -- it will mean more money in your pocket!

The root of the problem in this is that most unholy combination existing in unregenerate human nature known as selfishness and greed. This is why professional lobbying and political action committees are proving to be such a malignant curse to our nation.

The dominant attitude is "I'm first and I want the biggest slice of the pie before anyone else gets their fingers into it."

When you get a number of powerful unions and various special interest groups operating full speed with that self-centered and greedy attitude, then you have a guarantee for unprecedented disaster taking place in the future. To put it simply -- the goose that lays the golden egg daily has been executed!

For decades the idea has been that there is an endless supply of money held by companies, school districts, local and state governments, and of course, the great "Sugar Daddy" of them all -- the federal government itself! And with that view in mind a myriad of groups were unrelenting in trying to get the most of that money for their respective members and as far as each was concerned, "Let the rest of the country go to that very hot place where snowballs cannot survive!"

The goose is dead -- give it the last rites - no more golden eggs! Or to make reference to a more authoritative Source -- God has revealed that from time to time He will bring judgment on the gods that a nation has forged for itself. He gave a very dramatic demonstration of this when He brought the ancient Israelites out of Egypt at around 1400 BC. Specifically the Scripture mentions that the "gods" of Egypt were judged by the true and living God of the Israelites -- quite a calamity at that time to say the least!

The LORD will be awesome to them, for He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; people shall worship Him, each one from his place, indeed all the shores of the nations. --- Zephaniah 2:11

And since money is a very influential and high profile "god" in the United States, it is simply a matter of time until the Creator of this mighty universe takes action and makes clear the fact that if money is your "god" you are in for a bitter disappointment of the first magnitude!

Stop and ponder a bit -- the federal government is trillions of dollars in debt -- state and local governments are for the most part deeply in debt and struggling with budgets that indicate the financial "well has run dry!" School districts which have had to contend with powerful teachers' unions and unreasonable demands also are in intense struggles over finances. The answer? Get more money! How? Raise the taxes! Ah, is that not what has been going on for years and years on a regular basis so that now the average worker has to labor for nearly 6 months of the year to pay all taxes at all levels, including those "hidden" taxes we hear nothing about?

Did you ever hear a song that was written some years ago titled, Yesterday When I Was Young and made popular by Roy Clark? Perhaps the powerful unions, lobbying groups, and special interest organizations should adopt that as their theme song -- we have now moved into the area where the final phrase of the song is becoming reality -- "The time has come for me to pay for yesterday when I was young!"

Is It Really a "Win?"

The United States Senate voted to end the DADT (Don't Ask, Don't Tell) policy of banning homosexuals from serving openly in the U. S. military --- news releases on Saturday, December 18, 2010

There is likely dancing in the streets in places and a number of members of the U. S. Congress celebrating the end of the DADT ban which prevented homosexuals from serving openly in the U. S. military for a number of years. After all, it was reasoned, this was a form of discrimination of the most serious kind, and we certainly can't have that, can we?

The reality of what this means may not be revealed for a while, depending on how soon God chooses to respond fully to a nation that has given Him the traditional obscene gesture time and time again by defying His standards of ethical, moral and spiritual behavior on the part of human beings.

But eventually there will come a day in which God will deal with this country and the deadly mistakes made by its leaders, political and church, in which they have been leading our nation down a road to absolute disaster of the first magnitude!

God is fair and God is loving, but there is a time when He in effect draws a line in the sand and says, "Enough is enough!" The history of ancient Israel as given in the holy Scriptures provides shocking details as to what happens to a culture when the standards of holy conduct and relationships are totally rejected. Our leadership is presently duplicating the patterns of those leaders of Israel centuries ago. The day came when the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah were both destroyed by God's judgments, this mainly due to the fact that the people and their leaders refused to heed the warnings of the prophets! God has been calling out today and giving warning, but who is seriously listening?

The sodomite/lesbian cartel has been gaining momentum and winning so-called "victories" for some time. This "victory" in regard to the military DADT policy is simply the latest.

What will be next? Certainly the recognition of "marriage" between 2 males or 2 females is a priorty -- could it be that the time will come when the U. S. Congress will pass some sort of legislation that will require all clergy, magistrates, and judges to perform "marriages" for sodomites and lesbians? Don't ever say "Never!" in such a country as the United States because this republic has again on this date, December 18, 2010, demonstrated that the truth as clearly revealed by the Creator of this mighty universe is to be regarded as nothing more than a temporary irritation and should be tossed into the garbage can as quickly as possible! Can you picture "couples" in the military of the future who are "married" -- sodomites and lesbians?

So, as asked at the beginning -- was it really a "win?" Don't be too hasty to say, "Yes!" Wait until God makes His response and then give your answer -- that is, if you are in a position to be able to do so at that time! It is very wise to remember that God will write the last chapter in human history, and adjust your lifestyle accordingly.

A Mosquito Does Not Rationalize, Resist Or Retaliate!

“All these people were at the same table at the same time to talk about the same issue and that was to eradicate malaria….The United Methodist Church is a very important player on the world scene to eradicate malaria…” --- statements by Bishop Thomas Bickerton in article, “Nets Success Points United Methodists to New Goal” – October 10, 2008 issue of InterLink.

The Western PA Conference October 10th issue of InterLink had much space given to the subject of “Nothing But Nets” campaign. This is the effort to provide treated mosquito netting in parts of Africa where malaria takes a heavy toll yearly in human lives – an estimated 2.7 million per year.

Bishop Thomas Bickerton has been very deeply involved in promoting the campaign and has traveled extensively in promoting the cause outside the boundaries of the Western PA Annual Conference. Response has been most positive and huge sums of money have come in for the purchase of the nets. Comments from time to time mention this effort to “eradicate a killer” – never any hesitation to speak out and to state the need to totally eliminate malaria by getting rid of the mosquitoes which spread the disease.

This is not to raise any objection to the Nothing But Nets campaign – in fact, Jean and I have financially supported the effort through the W PA Conference. But there is a legitimate question to be raised and perhaps an explanation as to why Bishop Bickerton and the other UMC bishops are not concerned about another extremely critical issue which results in the very heavy loss of life each year here in the United States.

No statements have been made drawing attention to this issue and no campaign has been launched in an attempt to reduce the number of lives lost as in the case of malaria victims in Africa.

I refer to the fact that Bishop Bickerton and his fellow bishops have been tongue tied on the moral abomination of about 100,000 unborn children being brutally mutilated and murdered each month of the year in the United States!

And why is that? May I suggest the following as partial explanation:

A mosquito is an easy “killer” to attack for the following reasons:

• A mosquito will not rationalize in regard to what it does in spreading a disease that wipes out huge numbers of people every year. On the other hand, there are any number of people (including politicians and church people) who will rationalize until your head nearly spins off your shoulders as to why thousands of unborn children should have their lives terminated each week before they are born and have a chance to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. It is obvious that some leaders do not want to contend with that spirit of rationalization!
  
  
• A mosquito will not resist efforts to curb its deadly work. We can ship millions of nets and employ other methods to halt the spread of malaria and you’ll not run into any resistance from the carrier of malaria. But once you begin to speak out and support efforts to control the widespread killing of unborn children, you run into intense resistance. Well organized and powerful people will stand in the way of any attempt to control the “shedding of innocent blood.” It appears that among United Methodist leadership there is no desire to run the risk of stirring up resistance in an honest effort to put the brakes on a massacre which is now close to 50 million victims since January of 1973!
  
  
• A mosquito will not retaliate when its domain comes under attack and a large scale effort is launched to “eradicate malaria” – to use the words of a United Methodist leader. But once you protest publicly and support efforts to curb the extermination of unborn children, you become the villain – the bad guy who is to be labeled in the most negative terms possible. The paint brush used by those who vehemently support the ongoing destruction of unborn children is applied liberally to those who have adopted God’s view of human life, beginning with His identity and stated purpose for an individual while still in the womb of his/her mother. The labels are by no means flattering – we are fire-breathing radical fanatics, etc. There are leaders who simply do not want to be on the receiving end of such retaliation.
  

While the destruction of unborn children is a tragedy beyond human comprehension, a tragedy greater than this exists – the blindness on the part of church leaders and failure to see that Almighty God is going to respond to the U.S.A. brand of “Holocaust.” It will be far from a sunny afternoon experience at a Sunday School picnic!

Any hope that the United Methodist Church and its leadership will aggressively seek to end (eradicate?) mass killing of another kind taking place here in the United States? Highly unlikely -- whatever comments made will be in the form of "rationalization" as to why certain unborn children should live and others should die! The Spirit of Nazism Is Still Alive and Well in the U.S.A!

"Well the first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act." --- statement by Barack Obama in a speech to Planned Parenthood

Yes – it is likely that many will come forth with howls of loud and boisterous protest, and I will be the renegade for suggesting such a thing, but stop for a minute or two -- and for this one time, think it through in sober fashion.

For what were the Nazis of WW II notoriety most famous? Was it not that they held to a philosophy which determined that certain persons were worthy to live and certain others were not worthy of that privilege and these persons should be exterminated? And did they not demonstrate this philosophy in the most heinous fashion by intentionally killing at least 14 million persons of all ages, 6 million of which were Jewish by racial identity? And is it not true that we in the United States claim that such actions on the part of those Nazis under the leadership of Adolph Hitler were morally wrong and to be soundly condemned? Trials and subsequent executions at the conclusion of WW II are evidence that justice was carried out, in spite of claims on the part of the war criminals that they were innocent and simply “following orders.”

Now, about the claim of the spirit of Nazism being alive and well in a republic identified as the United States of America – before you shout, “How dare you…!” – just think for a bit before you open your mouth once more – is it not true that we have made a distinction in our nation that certain persons should live, BUT others should die and are not considered worthy of having the privilege to live for whatever reasons may be conjured up in unregenerate minds?

You say, “How is that?” Each week thousands of unborn children are “condemned” and “sentenced” to death – they are deemed not worthy to live – and so, they are brutally mutilated and murdered in their “mothers'” (term used loosely!) wombs with the “executioner” being paid big bucks for doing so!

You can see some graphic images of what the Nazis did in their extermination program in WW II at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC and they are most gut-wrenching to view! I know because I have been there twice. But who in these United States can point the finger to those people and say “What you did was morally wrong and criminal in nature!” – is this not being more than a tad hypocritical by pointing the finger at the Nazi when he shot a Jewish infant with his 9 mm Luger pistol and then declaring that such an act is morally wrong and a very violent criminal act?

Now we are in an election and on November 4th will attempt to select the person who will be our president for the next 4 years. Both of those candidates have taken a position on unborn children in the United States. The positions are different – in fact, quite radically different such as the difference between bright daylight and intense darkness.

One candidate exhibits the spirit of Nazism quite clearly, although the mass media that are attempting to elect him even before November 4th are very silent about this. In an address to Planned Parenthood B.O. went on record as to his intention to support legislation which will even overturn many state laws now in place which protect unborn babies, especially in late term pregnancies!

As tragic as that is – a leader who advocates in aggressive fashion his support of the destruction of over a million unborn children a year in this republic, the greater tragedy is the failure of many church leaders to protest the slaughter – mainline denominations are especially guilty of being silent, and United Methodist bishops in particular!

We’ve Got It All Wrong - Court Decisions and Constitutional “Rights” Do Not Supersede the Laws and Ordinances of Our Creator!

The 4-3 decision, written by Chief Justice Ronald M. George, rules that even though California’s domestic partnership (DP) laws give same-sex partners “all of the significant legal rights and obligations traditionally associated under state law with the institution of marriage,” the DP scheme violates the California Constitution because of its “failure to designate the official relationship of same-sex couples as marriage.” George writes:

In light of all of these circumstances, we conclude that retention of the traditional definition of marriage does not constitute a state interest sufficiently compelling, under the strict scrutiny equal protection standard, to justify withholding that status from same-sex couples. Accordingly, insofar as the provisions of sections 300 and 308.5 draw a distinction between opposite-sex couples and same-sex couples and exclude the latter from access to the designation of marriage, we conclude these statutes are unconstitutional. --- Part of article by Jan LaRue, Esq. of the Culture and Media Institute

In the midst of the increased calamities this nation is experiencing one would think that there might be a bit of a pause and some soul searching with a pointed question being asked, “Are we doing anything to correct our rebellious ways, seeking true repentance and as a nation, desiring to move to a favorable relationship with our Creator?”

If anything, we seem adamant in rebelling in just about every way possible as conceived by unregenerate minds and hearts.

Worse still is the attitude that our warped interpretation of the constitution gives us the “right” to do just about anything we want to do!

The recent California Supreme Court decision now makes possible for those practicing sodomy and lesbianism to marry – and it allows for these “couples” from anywhere to travel to California and get “married.”

The governor of New York, David Paterson, is setting in motion directives that will result in the recognition of such “marriages” from California, Massachusetts and Canada!

In the meantime we continue to destroy thousands of unborn children on a weekly basis, practice sexual immorality of every possible kind and use the designated day of worship of God as one big day of fun and games!

All this is done with the deadly deception that we have a constitutional “right” to do all these things plus anything else that may invade our minds so saturated with depravity -- a duplication of how it was with humanity in the years preceding the judgment of the flood at the time of Noah.

We are fulfilling to the letter a comment made a long time ago by one of God’s prophets

The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away; the haughty people of the earth languish. The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. --- Isaiah 24:4, 5

It appears more obvious as time moves on that this nation is going to pay a price which is far out of reach in terms of comprehension by our tiny finite minds. It still remains that God is not mocked and if we persist in ignoring the boundaries He has established, then we shall definitely reap as we have chosen to sow rebellion. So one of these days when elected officials and others in positions of wealth and influence -- and even some church leaders begin to raise such questions as, "Why is God doing these things to us?" be prepared to answer that we are now discovering the hard way that our court rulings and so called constitutional "rights" DO NOT supersede the moral laws and ordinances established by the mighty Creator of the heavens and the earth!

Quibbling About Atonement!

Thom Rainer posted an article on Lifeway’s Web Site claiming that pastors who did not preach penal substitutionary atonement (he didn’t use the term, he described the doctrine in very strong terms) are guilty of pastoral malpractice. He used the word “treasonous.” --- quote on one of a myriad of blogs which are a part of what is known as Methoblog

I stumbled on to this by accident -- this flurry of comments about atonement which seemed to be sparked mainly by a fellow by the name of Rainer. Additional comments have been added and links provided if one chooses to further pursue the subject of atonement.

One interesting response was by a guy who said he would plead guilty to the charge as outlined by the guy named Rainer.

Very strange, is it not, that we get bogged (or is it blogged) down in what is a rather simple matter -- the issue of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, sacrificing His life for the members of the human race so they could be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with Almighty God!

It may well be that this thing of there being an almost endless parade of "theories" about the atonement has come about due to failure to meet one of the four demands set before us by Jesus Himself -- "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:3).

Why is it that we have to be so "adult" and so "sophisticated," zealously pursuing the "theologians" and the "scholars" and trying to determine who has the final word on atonement? Is it smply that we want to impress the laity with our ability to quote Dr. So & So and what he has to say about anything that has to do with a mess called theology?

Just what part of "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." [2 Corinthians 5:21] OR "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." [Galatians 3:14, 15] OR "...who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed." [1 Peter 2:24] is it that you don't understand?

I guess I would have to plead guilty for the benefit of those who seem to be badly hung up on the subject of preaching about atonement -- I'm guilty of spreading information among my people that Jesus died for our sins and we are called to repent of our sins and receive Him as Savior and Lord. And you know what? We remember His sacrifice for us regularly by engaging in an activity called Holy Communion!

Is it correct to assume that those who have problems with the subject of atonement (especially what is referred to as PSA) consistently avoid observing a sacrament known as Holy Communion?

Just wondering!

Yes, Indeed! It's True -- Monkey See, Monkey Do!

About 1 in 4 teenage girls in the United States - and nearly half of black girls - has at least one sexually transmitted disease, according to a study released yesterday, providing the first national snapshot of infection rates among this age group... --- opening statement in news release by The Baltimore Sun, March 12, 2008

Alarming details in the report should give parents of teenaged females from ages 14 to 19 cause to be deeply concerned. Even more alarming is the fact that not all STD's were covered in this study. The girls were tested for human papillomavirus (HPV), chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and herpes. By far, the most common sexually transmitted disease was HPV. Further, of those infected, 15 percent had more than one STD! An infectious diseases specialist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center referred to these sexually transmitted infections as a "hidden epidemic." About how many adolescent females does this involve? The CDC states that at least 3.2 million in this age group are infected! Consider the fact that this does not take in those under age 14 or those over age 19 who are infected. As the late Barney Fife was sometimes heard to say, "Andy, we have a situation!"

Syphilis, HIV, and gonorrhea were not included in the study nor were teenaged boys included in the study. So it is concluded that actual numbers could be higher since there would be infected persons not covered in the study.

However, there are a few persons who would not be surprised by such statistics. These are the ones who have developed a degree of knowledge and sensitivity to God's special revelation which was completed 2,000 years ago. It's called the Bible. It is a Book which has caused widespread debate down through the centuries among those who profess to be Christian in faith. If we are willing to let the Holy Spirit speak in regard to clear statements on sexual matters, it is easy to see where the boundary lines are drawn when it comes to human sexuality.

God has placed His approval and blessing on sexual intimacy under only one condition -- a male and a female who have entered into the covenant of marriage. All other kinds of sexual activity are prohibited such as fornication (sex between unmarried persons), adultery (sex between two persons, with one or both being married to other partners), same-gender sex intimacy which is labeled an "abomination," sex with animals (bestiality), and incest (sexual intimacy between family members).

But in this age of being "free spirits" and "liberated" our little tykes learn at an early age that adults are teaching by example and a myriad of visual images that "Sex is fun with anyone (or more than one anyone at the same time) anywhere and at any time!"

High profile celebrities in the movie and TV industries conceive children out of wedlock -- sex tapes of their activities are available on the Internet -- the pornography industry is a multi-billion dollar business that has invaded just about every nation on the face of this planet!

So our culture declares that we need to "educate" the little tykes about sex -- we'll teach them graphically how to put a condom on a banana, but it's against the law to tell them that God says wait until you fall in love, get married, and then be blessed in a most heavenly experience!

With the bombardment of a sex-saturated media each day, little wonder that the hormones rage quickly and the "instant gratification" philosophy kicks in! And before our very eyes we see the tragedy of sowing to the lust of the flesh and reaping a harvest which can best be described as being under the sentence of death!

Will the tide be turned back? Not likely -- the message of total abstainence in regard to sexual activity before marriage is greatly resisted -- so get out the bananas and the condoms -- and do it safely! After all, God is not welcome in our public school educational system is He? As for colleges and universities, far too many students seem to buy into the philosophy that "partying" (this includes alcohol, drugs and sexual activity) is a must on a regular basis. This time of year is "spring break" you know and not many of the older tykes will spend their time in Sunday School!

The one thing, and maybe it's about the only thing, that Christians can do is to pray and witness to God's Truth on this critical issue as the opportunity presents itself. It is legitimate to pray that God will visit the "fruit" of their doings upon those who immorally influence the young! Sometime you are reading the Scriptures, look for that expression -- it's in there more than once! You can start with Jeremiah 17:10!

"How shall I pardon you for this? Your children have forsaken Me and sworn by those that are not gods. When I had fed them to the full, then they committed adultery and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses. They were like well-fed lusty stallions; every one neighed after his neighbor's wife. Shall I not punish them for these things?" says the LORD. "And shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?" --- Jeremiah 5:7-9

"Families" without Men -- a Real Heaven on Earth or Is It?

And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God." --- Luke 16:15

It's just another step along the way toward disaster, the dimension of which is totally indescribable.

For quite some time our culture has been plagued with individuals and groups who want to deify women in every way possible, degrade and diminish men in every way possible, and issue proclamations from time to time that single parent "families" are just as fulfilling if not more so than the traditional family headed up by a dad and a mom -- especially if the head of that "family" is a female in pursuit of a highly successful career!

This whole debacle got a potent shot in the arm recently with the release of a top selling book with an eye catching title -- "Knock Yourself Up: A Tell-All Guide to Becoming a Single Mom." Now that's an expression some of us older fellows remember using when we were teenagers and the hormones were raging like crazy -- it was a very vulgar way to refer to a female who had become pregnant!

Author of the book is one named Louise Sloan who will make a fat bundle of bucks from this offering and become a heroine at the same time. She relates her experience of inseminating herself in her parents' home as she had moved into the fourth decade of her life and was not married.

She exhibits a spirit that is increasing in popularity -- that is, that men are not good for much of anything except in the case of extracting a little wriggling thing that is 50 per cent involved in the making of a baby!

The way some of these females are expressing themselves they would welcome the situation in which men would be by-passed completely when it comes to population expansion! Sorry, girls -- there has only been one Person born of a virgin and it won't happen again, ever!

Have you noticed how increasingly popular it is to advocate something, be involved in some activity, publish a book or have a talk show (radio or TV) that is against everything which God our Creator represents by way of high standards of personal morality, ethics and spirituality as based on His eternal, unchanging and clearly revealed truth?

A perfect explanation for these crazy things that have been happening and continue to get crazier as time passes is seen in statements by the prophet Isaiah:

The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away; the haughty people of the earth languish. The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. --- Isaiah 24:4,5

God's design for a family involves the following: marriage between one man and one woman and children born to the married couple with clearly defined responsibilities resting upon each member of that family. Isaiah 24 is being fulfilled before our very eyes due to a majority of persons choosing to intentionally reject the "blueprint" God has revealed concerning what is required for not only a healthy family but a healthy culture as well!

BUT for the faithful minority, there is some very good news -- this stuff is going to be permanently terminated by the personal intervention of Jesus Christ at some point in the future. Since many of the "movers and shakers" in our culture at the present time are insistent on turning our republic into a 21st Century version of Sodom and Gomorrah, the time may well be much closer than any of us might realize!

The Evolution of the Simple Baby Doll!

"For My people are foolish, they have not known Me. They are silly children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge." --- Jeremiah 4:22

There was a time when a doll was a doll. A miniaturized form of a human being -- man, woman, boy or girl which was a favorite toy of children in their very young years.

At points along the way in time dolls became a bit more sophisticated. Some dolls were produced which became collectors' items. Female dolls were adorned with expensive gowns, etc.

War times resulted in production of what was known as G. I. Joe figures with a lot of accessories enabling boys to engage in combat situations with G. I. Joe, his jeep and weapons.

Even professional sports got into the act with dolls produced in the likenesses of big name players. Certain names now bring a hefty price on the eBay market!

With the "sexual revolution" (the adoption of a philosophy which says, "Sex is fun with anyone or more than one anyone at the same time, anywhere and at any time!") which began in the 60's came a new kind of "doll" on the scene -- the sex doll. First models were somewhat crude -- the inflatable models made of plastic such as a blow up Easter bunny and were often given as gag gifts.

Due to demand and developing technology the sex doll has made great strides forward -- sort of like the progress made from the Wright brothers' cumbersome flying machine to our modern space shuttle!

A recent program by BBC was titled, "Love Me, Love My Doll." It featured some men who have the latest in sex dolls. One of these guys actually had a number of these lifeless females around his house!

These dolls are made of silicone which very closely resembles human flesh in texture and color. There are models which have PVC skeletons and metal joints. The great feature is that they are "anatomically correct" which means they become a sexual partner because the man is unable to have a live human female partner!

The dolls average over 5 feet in height and weigh about 100 pounds. They can be custom ordered according to preference of the customer -- hair color, eye color, breast size, skin color, etc.

Prices can range from $1,295 to $6,500 and zooming to $10,000 depending on the sophistication and special "features" of the doll! And business is booming according to manufacturers in the business at the present time.

In one place in the world the prostitution business is being threatened as zealous entrepreneurs have set up shop -- for a fee you can rent a doll in a private room and indulge your sexual fantasies!

Oh yes, women have not been excluded in the doll evolution -- instead of buying an 18 inch doll with a porcelain head and dressed in a Victorian gown to add to your growing collection, you can buy a 6 foot silicone "anatomically correct" male according to your personal preferences and exact specifications!

As we in this world continue to carnally abuse the sacred gift of human sexuality which our Creator has given us, how long do you think it will be before He says, "Enough is enough!", and begins to do some things which will quickly remind the members of the human race that the price for making bad choices and engaging in wicked behavior is extremely high!

A "Massacre" at Virginia Tech? Why Do They Not Face the One With Far Greater Numbers?

There is no doubt that our republic was shaken from one end to the other upon learning of the killing of at last 32 persons on the campus of Virginia Tech in the morning hours of April 16, 2007.

A minority of persons across this nation whose faith and commitment is centered in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are certainly praying for families of victims as well as so many others impacted by this tragedy. Even as we pray there are very elusive answers to so many questions which are being asked now and will continue to be asked in times yet to come.

As masses of people from TV, radio and print media milk this incident to the very last drop in the drive to upstage competitors there will be certain areas on which all of them will agree that are considered "off limits."

First, they will make the term "massacre" high profile -- it is dramatic and has great shock value, but they will never ever face the greatest massacre in U. S. history which continues unabated week by week with thousands of mutilated and murdered victims! When was the last time you saw those hypocrites speak of this massacre which has absolutely nothing that comes close by way of comparison when you examine the history of this republic all the way back to the 1700's? Are you willing to show more honesty than the media crowd by looking at the latest tally in light of certain time frames at A Quick Look At the United States' Massacre Tally!


Second, there is the refusal to face the hard reality that we are witnessing a "harvest time" when it comes to sudden outbursts of violence and mass killings. Since the rebel 60's settled in and we cast aside basic Judeo-Christian values on a widespread basis, beginning with "officially" kicking God out of our public school systems, we have instituted a destructive conditioning program for our young from the time they have been born!

Many of the media people who are "milking" the Virginia Tech tragedy are part of media empires that concoct programming under the guise of "entertainment" which conditions us to be prone to violence when we feel we just have to resolve some kind of "frustration" which has invaded our lives!

When a person is fed a daily diet of violence through media outlets (Hollywood produced junk, TV movies, games laced with violence, music and the rap garbage that is punctuated with violent expressions) then that person is "armed" and "loaded" with a hair trigger and some incident is all it takes to set that person off with tragic results.

One person observed on basis of a lot of statistics over past decades that it would take at least one generation or more if drastic changes were now made and a "purging" took place within the media entertainment industry of this cesspool quality stuff before positive improvement would begin to take place in our culture!

Will it happen? Not likely, because the immoral, violent and putrid stuff sells and the dominating philosophy is, "We give the public what it wants and fatten our bank accounts in the process!" Besides, it's our constitutional "right" to market this stuff which will turn our young Dr. Jekyll's into future Mr. Hyde's!

This law of sowing and reaping not only applies to us as individuals and our personal choices, but it applies also on a collective basis to an entire culture and whether or not it seeks to obey God or reject His spiritual and moral laws and create an indescribable hell for itself!

The Tobacco Guys Got Sued -- Now How About the Alcohol Guys?

You do remember, do you not, that some years ago a massive suing "campaign" was launched against the tobacco industry with great success. These bad guys had trafficked in a product that was a health hazard for years and years, and the reasoning now was that they should pay! It amounted to billions of dollars -- the people who really cashed in big on this one were the trial lawyers. You can't get through a day without some of those people throwing an ad at you from somewhere urging you to sue somebody for something so you can get the "money you deserve, and remember, there's no fee unless we get money for you!" There should be a PS added which says, "If we do, we will take a very LARGE piece of the pie!"

In tonight's news it was mentioned that there is a crisis involving teenagers drinking alcoholic beverages -- well, what do you know? Those little tykes are always up to something, aren't they?

So big people in powerful positions are now saying that something needs to be done. Oh, and just what is that in addition to pious words such as "adults taking responsibility"?

What in the world would cause those youngsters to indulge in such a manner? Could it be the huge numbers of examples they see in terms of parents, friends, high profile celebrities, TV and movie films? Could it be the clever ads that make booze seem so exciting and adventurous and if you don't get some into your gut you are missing out on a lot of fun and joy in life? In fact, you are missing out on what life is really all about -- so hand me another beer or a couple of shots of Jack Daniels!

Want to start the "cure?" Then sue the industry just as was done to the tobacco industry -- no, at least it's a start. Can't you just hear the objections, a number of which will come from persons in "high places!" We just can't do that! Did you ever wonder how many barrels of booze would run down the streets if you emptied the White House and capitol building in Washington DC and all the state capitol buildings of every drop of booze? Have your hip boots on if you are standing in the vicinity if it should happen!

OK - anybody want to do the numbers on this issue? Compile the statistics for the last 50 years on damage done by smoking and chewing tobacco to that done by alcoholic beverages. See how many families have been dismantled, marriages broken up, jobs lost, property damaged, injuries suffered, and deaths resulting from use of beverage alcohol. And see how tobacco usage compares in terms of damage, destruction, and death! Ah, gotcha, huh?

There can be no denial that this country has played the hypocrite to the hilt in singling out the tobacco industry for attack while allowing the alcoholic beverage people off with not even a mild slap on the wrist. Come to think of it, could it be that the booze people pay a lot more in taxes than do the ones who churn out cigarettes, and that has a powerful influence on officials when it comes to dealing with the "evils" of our society?

Again, just do some home work on what product brings about the greatest amount of heartache, sorrow, and tragedy in this republic.

Will anything constructive be done? Hardly -- too many people in the position to do something effective like to have their fingers wrapped around something which contains a liquid that gives them a buzz now and then when they drink it!
